Ever since Putt-putt lost his bid to stay inside the city of Nevada Iowa, he has been at a boarding stable.  However, in recent news, Putt-putt has been moved back into the town in direct violation of the order:

According to the story, Rhonda Applegate said that "when she and her two children went to visit Putt Putt yesterday she found her pet to be "stressed and colicky."

Applegate says "We have a problem with these officials. If we don't get rid of them and change power and get consistency and fairness in here, we are all going to suffer."

Appelgate is more worried now than ever about the fate of herself and her miniature horse, adding that her children are having trouble sleeping because they're worried about their pet being taken away and dying or that their mother is going to go to jail. "I feel very alone, very scared and very mad."

PETA has become involved because of the possibility of the unwarranted death of the miniature horse:

"According to Mayor Patrick Sheets, the animal rights organization PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), has called the city concerning the miniature horse. A spokesperson for the organization left a voice message for the mayor Monday morning after the Good Morning America show ran telling Putt Putt's situation to the nation.

In the voice message, the spokesperson told Sheets that PETA had three million members who would all be watching the situation. The spokesperson told the mayor that the organization believed that Putt Putt should be able to remain in town."

Clearly the controversy is not over, and Applegate now faces Contempt-of-Court charges.
